Any other information on results incl. tables
Preliminary Tests:
For the friction test, a small amount of test item on an anvil was rubbed with a mallet on an anvil but no evidence of ignition was observed. For the shock test, a small amount of test on an anvil was hit with a mallet but no evidence of ignition was observed. For the thermal strain test, a small amount of test item on a spatula was placed in an air-rich Bunsen flame; the test item melted to an orange liquid before igniting giving an orange flame and grey
fumes. Further heating caused the flame to quickly self-extinguish leaving a black, charred solid residue.
BAM Friction Test:
Results of the BAM Friction test are shown in the following table.

Observations |
1 |
No flash, flames or noise from sample during test. Post-test inspection of the test item showed a slight discoloration to a dull yellow colour along the porcelain peg’s path and top of the peg. |

Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- GHS criteria not met
- Conclusions:
- The test item has been determined to not have explosive properties.
- Executive summary:
The determination was carried out using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A.14 Explosive Properties of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 830.6316 of the OCSPP Guidelines.
Negative results were obtained in BAM friciton test, BAM fall hammer test and Koenen steel tube test (6 and 2 mm oriface plates).
The test item has been determined to not have explosive properties.
