Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Not relevant to study according to REACH Annex XI Section 2. Due to high molality of the constituents in the solution, precipitation begins before reaching the freezing point.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to high molality of the constituents and the high amount of dissociated NaOH in the solution, forces between molecules are disturbed in the solution. According to the product description (attached), precipitation of solution may begin below 12°C. This shows that at low temperatures, saturation points are reached prior to freezing point.
