Administrative data

First-aid measures

A medical examination is necessary only if adverse effects appear. Never make nothing ingest for one person unconscious.

Inhalation: in case of inhalation vapors, remove the person to fresh air.
Contact with the skin: take off immediately all contaminated clothing, and wash immediately with plenty of water and soap.
Contact with eyes: wipe eyes with dry and clean cloth then rinse immediately with water during 15 to 20 minutes.
Ingestion: if swallowed, rinse the mouth with water.

Fire-fighting measures

Appropriate extinguishers: CO2, extinguishing powder, foam or water spray.
Extinguishers to be avoided: never direct a jet of water onto the burning mass.
Special protective gear: wear an autonomous breathing device and appropriate protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

Individual precautions: wear nitrile gloves, safety glasses with side shield and non-slip shoes to prevent slipping and falling.
Precautions for the protection of the environment: avoid contamination of sewers, surface water and subterranean water.
Cleaning methods:
- for small quantities: use absorbent materials such as a dry cloth, sand, diatomaceous earth or sawdust then wash with water containing detergents if necessary,
- for large quantities: pump using an appropriate system, then wash with water containing detergents if necessary.

Handling and storage

Manipulation: wear appropriate gloves, type of recommended gloves: nitrile.
Observe the precautions indicated on the label as well as the regulations of the protection to the work.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Acceptable values of exposure of air contaminants: not definite.
Collective Equipment of protection: to permit a good ventilation of premises with a rate of adapted renewal.
Equipment of individual protection: wear appropriate clothes and gloves according to the Directive 89/686/EEC.

Stability and reactivity

Stable in the normal conditions of use.
Conditions to be avoided: exothermic reaction with bases and acids.
Hazardous decomposition products: production of acrolein from 300°C and carbon oxides (CO, CO2).

Disposal considerations

Reject in the nature: do not reject in the natural environment.
- waste: recycle or eliminate according to legislations in force, rather by a collector or an approved company.
Do not contaminate the ground or the water with waste; do not proceed to their elimination in the environment.
- used packagings: put back to an approved company. Observe the local regulations.
