Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Key study: Experimental results: Test method was according to EEC-Guideline A.10 and GLP.

The Flammability of the test item zinc acetate was determined according to EEC-Guideline A.10. Therefore the test item was formed to an uninterrupted pile of 250 mm in length on a ceran plate. It was tried to ignite the substance-pile at one end with the flame of a teclu-burner.

There was no inflammation or smouldering observed within 2 minutes. Because it was impossible to ignite the test item the main test had not to be performed.

The test item zinc acetate (ZcA) can be classified as non flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Non-classified because it is non-flammable.
