First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical advice if
irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate eyes with water immediately for several minutes.
Seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area thoroughly with soap and water. Seek
medical advice if irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, dry chemical, water spray or carbon dioxide may be
used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may include oxides of carbon, fumes
and smoke.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear full face breathing apparatus and
protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: In the event of a spillage evacuate the area and keep
personnel away from the spillage area. Shut off the source
if it is safe to do so.
Clean up spillage by absorbing onto an inert material such
as sand and place in drums for incineration.
Advise the relevant authorities if the substance enters a
watercourse or sewer, or contaminates soil or vegetation.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with eyes, wear safety glasses or chemical
splash goggles when handling.
Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact, wear impervious
clothing such as protective rubber gloves.
Avoid breathing mists, wear a disposable mask.
Storage: Keep the container closed when not in use, keep away from
heat and sources of ignition.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The preparation is packaged in a 20-litre steel can or in a
200-litre steel drum.
