Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. If signs/symptoms develop, get
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with large amounts of water. If signs/symptoms
persist, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water. If signs/symptoms
develop, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Give victim two glasses of water.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get
immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Ordinary combustible material. Use fire extinguishers with
class A extinguishing agents (e.g., water, foam).
Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide. Hydrogen fluoride. Toxic
Vapor, Gas, Particulate.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing, including helmet, self-
contained, positive pressure or pressure demand breathing
apparatus, bunker cot and pants, bands around arms, waist
and legs, face mask, and protective covering for exposed
areas of the head.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ventilate the area with fresh air. Contain spill. For larger
spills, cover drains and build dikes to prevent entry into
sewer systems or bodies of water. Working from around the
edges of the spill inward, cover with bentonite,
vermiculite, or commercially available inorganic absorbent
material. Mix in sufficient absorbent until it appears dry.
Collect as much of the spilled material as possible. Clean
up residue. Place in a closed container approved for
transportation by appropriate authorities. Dispose of
collected material as soon as possible.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid eye contact.
The following eye protection(s) are recommended : Indirect
Vented Goggles.
Avoid skin contact.
Select and use gloves and/or protective clothing to prevent
skin contact based on the results of an exposure assessment.
Consult with your glove and/or protective clothing
manufacturer for selection of appropriate compatible
materials.
Gloves made from the following material(s) are recommended :
Neoprene, Nitrile Rubber.
Avoid breathing of vapors, mists or spray. Do not breathe
thermal decomposition products. Use general dilution
ventilation and/or local exhaust ventilation to control
airborne exposures to below Occupational Exposure Limits. If
ventilation is not adequate, use respiratory protection
equipment.
Select one of the following approved respirators based on
airborne concentration of contaminants and in accordance
with regulations : Half facepiece or fullface air-
purifying respirator with organic vapor cartridges and N95
particulate prefilters.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash
exposed areas thoroughly with soap and water.
Storage: Store away from areas where product may come into contact
with food or pharmaceuticals. Store away from heat. Store
out of direct sunlight.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Preparations :
As imported :
55 gallon polyethylene-insert open head drum
As sold :
12.5 kg polyethylene (HDPE) bags as such or additionally
packed in cardboard boxes (2 x 12.5 kg) or in returnable
HDPE pallet boxes (48 x 12.5 kg).
