Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Pyrophoric substance (A13): N
Highly flammable solid (A10): N
In contact with water substance liberates highly flammable gases (A12): N

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test substance pile could not be ignited. In contact
with the flame, the test substance emitted yellow sparks and
turned black into a charred residue. After removal of the
ignition source, no more sparks or propagation of combustion
was observed.

The test substance is incapable of developing a dangerous
amount of (flammable) gas(es) in contact with air, damp air
or water.

Based on its molecular structure it was concluded that the
test substance is not pyrophoric.
