Daphnia in the negative control group appeared normal throughout the test. All daphnids in the 1.5 and 3.2 mg/L treatment groups also appeared normal throughout the test, with no immobility or overt signs of toxicity observed. All other daphnids in the TexFRon AG treatment groups survived to test end. However, sublethal effects (i.e. lethargy) were observed in 7, 16 and 7 daphnids in the 5.8, 11 and 17 mg/L treatment groups, respectively. Since the sublethal effect noted in these groups did not follow a dose response pattern, the effect noted was likely due to the presence of precipitate in the test chambers that resulted in a physical disturbance to the organisms.

The cladoceran, Daphnia magna, was exposed for 48 hours under static-renewal conditions to five mean measured concentrations of TexFRon AG ranging from 1.5 to 17 mg/L. The 48-hour EC50 value was greater than 17 mg/L, the highest concentration tested. Daphnids exposed to TexFRon AG at concentrations ≤3.2 mg/L appeared normal with no immobility or overt signs of sublethal effect.
