First-aid measures
Health injuries are not known or expected under normal use.
Inhalation:
Provide fresh air, seek medical advice if necessary.
If the casualty is not breathing: Perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, notify emergency physician immediately.
Skin contact:
Wash off with plenty of water and soap.
Eye contact:
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water keeping eyelid open.
If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Ingestion:
After absorbing large amounts of substance / In case of discomfort: Supply with medical care.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Have the mouth rinsed with water.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
Symptomatic treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Water spray, foam, CO2, dry powder.
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
In the case of fire, the following hazardous smoke fumes may be produced: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.
May be released in case of fire: hydrogen iodide.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:
In case of fire: full protective suit and wear a self contained respiratory apparatus.
Advice for firefighters:
Contaminated extinguishing water must be treated at a suitable disposal plant in accordance with waste management laws.
In case of fire, remove the endangered containers and bring to a safe place, if this can be done safely.
Keep out unprotected persons.
Accidental release measures
Wear personal protective equipment.
Avoid formation of dust. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
Environmental precautions:
Prevent penetration into soil, stretches of water and drainage systems.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Sweep up or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Refill and handle product only in closed system.
Provide sufficient ventilation and exhaust at the workplace.
Ensure that apparatus and pipelines are free from leaks.
Do not ventilate into the open.
Trained personnel must be used.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
General rules of fire prevention should be observed.
Storage:
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities.
Store in the original receptacle, keeping this tightly sealed, under cool and dry conditions.
