- All test concentrations were weight in separately in M4 medium. The concentrations were treated in an ultrasonic bath for approx. 5 minutes and then stirred for about 20 hours at 20± 2°C. Undissolved test substance was removed by centrifugation (approximately 20 min at about 17700 G).

- Source: The clone of Daphnia magna STRAUS 1820 used was supplied by the Institut National de Recherche Chimique Appliquée, France, in 1978. From this date on this clone was cultured and bred continuously in-house.
