Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Inhalation of metals in massive form is not expected. If use or processes produce dust or fumes, and inhalation of the product is suspected, remove exposed person to fresh air, give rest and obtain medical attention.
Ingestion: Ingestion of metals in massive form is not expected. However, if ingestion of the product is suspected, Induce vomiting, only if affected person is fully conscious. If symptoms persist consult doctor.
Eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Consult a doctor.
Skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
Information for doctor: Treat symptomatically.
Additional information: Immediately take off all contaminated clothing.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents: Special powder for metal fires, or dry sand.
Unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water, Carbon dioxide.
Special protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.
Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.
Keep away from ignition sources.
Environmental precautions: No special measures required.
Measures for cleaning/collecting:
Pick up mechanically. Keep away from water. Avoid formation of dust.
Dispose of the material collected according to regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling:
- Information for safe handling:
Prevent formation of dust. Provide suction extractors if dust is formed. Any unavoidable deposit of dust must be regularly removed. Ensure that suitable extractors are available on processing machines.
Open and handle receptacle with care.
- Information about fire - and explosion protection:
Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.
Handle with care. Avoid jolting, friction and impact.
Use only anhydrous oils and anti-corrosive agents.
Storage:
Store only in the original receptacle.
Do not store together with alkalis (caustic solutions). Do not store together with acids. Store away from oxidizing agents.
Keep container tightly sealed. Store receptacle in a well ventilated area. Protect from humidity and water. Store in dry conditions.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure controls:
Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.
Occupational exposure limits: none
Occupational exposure controls:
- Personal protective equipment:
General protective and hygienic measures: Do not eat or drink while working. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Do not inhale dust / smoke / mist. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Use skin protection cream for skin protection.
Respiratory protection: Use suitable respiratory protective device (P1, FFP1 filter) when high concentrations of dust are present.
Hand protection: Wear protective gloves (EN374) made of nitrile rubber or butyl rubber.
Eye protection: Wear safety glasses
Body protection: Wear light weight protective clothing
Stability and reactivity
Materials to avoid: Keep away from water.
Dangerous reactions: Reacts with acids, alkalis and oxidizing agents. Reacts with water.
Risk of dust explosion if enriched with fine dust in the presence of air.
Dangerous decomposition products: No dangerous decomposition products known.
Additional information:
Use only anhydrous oils and anti-corrosive agents.
Disposal considerations
Non contaminated packagings may be recycled.
Packagings that may not be cleansed are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.
Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
Recommendations
Contact manufacturer for recycling information.
Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
