Administrative data

First-aid measures

Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with fingers. Call a physician.


Skin: Wash skin with soap and copious amounts of water.


Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Call a physician.


Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing becomes difficult, call a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:
Small fires: carbon dioxide, dry powder, foam, earth or sand. Large fires: foam or water spray (fog). These firefighting means must only be used by suitably trained personnel. Other extinguishing gases (according to regulations).



Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Avoid the use of direct water jets. These could cause spatter and spread fire. Simultaneous use of foam and water on the same surface should be avoided, as water destroys foam.

Accidental release measures

General information: Wear respirator, chemical safety googles, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.


Spills/leaks: Sweep up, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal. Avoid raising dust. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete.

Handling: Fumehood.


Storage: Room temperature storage.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering controls: Mechanical exhaust required.


Personal protective equipment: Avoid inhalation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure. Niosh/Msha approved respirator. Compatible chemical-resistant gloves. Chemical safety googles. Keep tightly closed. Store in a cool dry place. Wash thoroughly after handling.


 

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability: Stable.


Conditions to avoid: Strong oxidizing/reducing agents, strong acids, strong bases.

Disposal considerations

Do not pour the new or used product into the sewage system, underground channels or watercourses; pick it up and deliver it to authorized companies. Disposal of empty containers and waste will be done safely.
