A study was conducted according to Directive 92/69/EEC method A.9 to determine the flash point of the test item using the Pensky-Marten closed cup method. A preliminary test was performed with a heating rate of 8.5 K/min. Based on the result, the starting temperature for the main test was chosen. In the course of the study two subsequent tests with the test item were carried out. The values were corrected to 1013 hPa. The mean flash-point at 1013 hPa was determined to be 153.0 °C.
