A preliminary test was conducted using sieve analysis, 10% by weight of the test material was found to be of particle size <75 microns, image analysis was subsequently performed. Six replicate tests were performed, samples for each being taken individually from the original bulk container of test item. 11.3% by mass of test item is smaller than 10 µm.

Description of key information
Particle size was determined in accordance with BS 3406 Part 4 (1993) following a preliminary determination using sieve analysis. Six replicate tests were performed, samples for each being taken individually from the original bulk container of test item. 11.3% by mass of test item is smaller than 10 µm.
