An evaluation of the functionality within the substance has been performed to identify the presence of elements commonly associated with explosive properties as described in Table A6.1 in Appendix 6 of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Test and Criteria.

The C-C unsaturation present in the raw materials used to manufacture the substance and the substance itself belong to an acrylic acid functional group and is not thought to have explosive properties. Both the substance and raw materials contain oxygen in the form of an epoxide functional group. However, several similar structures to those contained within the substance are not classed as explosive according to the CLP regulation.

Therefore using a read across argument it is assumed that the epoxide functional groups in this substance are not explosive. The remaining oxygen is contained within 4,4'-Isopropylidenediphenol, reaction products with 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane, mono, di and triesters with acrylic acid, is not contained within a chemical group considered to be associated with explosive properties, as stated in section 2.1.4.3 of the CLP regulation.
