- Key result
- Remarks on result:
- other: At 20°C and 50°C
- Remarks:
- No chemical degradation of test substance was observed.
- Test substance stable to metals / metal ions:
- yes
- Remarks:
- The test substance is stable in presence of metals and metal ions at 50°C upon 14 days of storage.
- Conclusions:
- Test substance was stable at 20°C, 50°C and in the presence of metals and metal ions at 50°C.
- Executive summary:
The test was conducted according to test guideline US EPA OPPTS 830.6313 to determine stability of test substance to metals and metal ions and normal/elevated temperature.
Containers of the test substance alone and mixtures with copper, brass, 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, aluminum, cuprous chloride, nickel (II) chloride, and ferric chloride were prepared and stored at 50 ± 3°C. A separate container of the test substance was also stored at 20 ± 3°C. An aliquot of the test substance from each container following 1, 2, 7, and 14 days of storage were analyzed by gas chromatography with flame ionization detection with internal standard quantitation for the concentration of test substance active ingredient (a.i.). No chemical degradation at 20°C, 50°C, or in the presence of the metals and metal ions tested was noted.
