Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eye contact: Wash with plenty of water or saline solution. Keep the eyelids open while washing. Consult your doctor and show him the label.
- Contact with the skin: Remove contaminated clothes (possibly shoes). Wash the affected part of the body with soap or mild detergent and rinse with plenty of water until the substance is completely removed (15-20 minutes). Notify the doctor
immediately and show him the label.
- Ingestion: In case of ingestion rinse the mouth thoroughly with water. Notify the doctor immediately and show him the container or the label.
- Inhalation: Avoid breathing dust that could be generated by handling the product. Move the person to the open air in a well-ventilated area. Tell your doctor if the exposure was significant in terms of quantity or time.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, chemical powder, foam, carbon dioxide
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: Unsuitable extinguishing media are not known.
Hazardous combustion products: In the event of a fire, the substance may decompose with the emission of fumes harmful to health, such as COx.
Technical protective recommendations: Do not attempt to extinguish the fire without the use of an autonomous respiratory device (SCBA) and suitable protective clothing.
- Special Protection Devices for firefighters: Wear boots, gloves, overalls, eye and face protection, suitable respirators. Complies with the relevant UNI standards for Italy and EN for Europe. Use the devices indicated in the maximum precautionary conditions on the basis of the information reported in the previous sub-sections.
Accidental release measures
- Eyes: Wear suitable protective equipment (see section 8).
- Leather: Wear clothing with full body protection.
- Airways: In case of fire and / or explosion, avoid breathing fumes and vapors. Use self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and suitable protective clothing. The vapors can be removed by spraying with water.
In case of accidental release or spillage, prevent the substance from reaching the drains and can reach surface or ground water. Notify Competent Authorities in case of environmental pollution.
- Method of containment: Collect all the material scattered on the ground with adequate protective equipment and place it in a clean and dry container.
- Method of reclamation: Recover the substance by aspiration or other mechanical means and wash the area with plenty of water and detergents. Store the recovered product waiting for the specialized disposal company. If the payment has occurred on the motorway or public place, appropriate measures must be adopted in order to protect people from any risk.
Handling and storage
- Handling recommendations: Handle away from sources of ignition and sparks Handle in an airtight area.
Avoid contact with incompatible materials / substances Wear appropriate PPE (see section 8)
Keep the substance away from water discharges.
- Professional hygiene recommendations: Do not eat, drink or smoke in work areas Wash hands after use Remove contaminated clothing and PPE before accessing the areas where you eat.
The risk management methods indicated in this section depend on the type of classification deriving from the properties indicated in section 9. The substance is not classified for any physical chemical properties and no special risk management mode is foreseen. Risk management methods related to: potential sources of ignition: Do not expose to sources of heat.
How to contain the effects of:
- weather conditions: Do not expose to high temperatures, you could get the swelling of the container due to the development of gas.
- environmental pressure: No containment methods are envisaged.
- temperature: Store in a tightly closed original container in a cool and dry place.
- sunlight: Do not expose to direct sunlight.
- humidity: Do not store in a damp environment.
- vibrations: No containment methods are envisaged.
The application of the methods of managing the risks committed to the chemical-physical properties is to be carried out based on the risk assessments made by the employer in his working practice (use of the substance) in the absence of a unique and standardized exhibition scenario described in the Dossier registration REACH.
Maintaining the integrity of substances:
- stabilizers: Stabilizers are not used
- antioxidants: Antioxidants are not expected
Other recommendations:
- ventilation: Request based on the storage of the substance
- specific room design: Not required based on the classification of the substance
- quantitative storage limits: Not required based on the classification of the substance

Exposure controls / personal protection
The choice of the type of Individual Protection Device (s) is to be carried out based on the risk assessments made by the employer in his / her working practice (use of the substance) in the absence of a unique and standardized exhibition scenario described in the Dossier of REACH registration.
If, the results of the risk assessment, carried out in accordance with Directive 98/24 / EEC (In Italy the Legislative Decree 81 of 9 April 2008 and subsequent amendments) show that general and collective prevention measures are not sufficient to reduce the risk, and if it is not possible to prevent exposure to the substance by other means, adequate personal protective equipment must be adopted, in compliance with the relevant UNI / EN technical standards.
a) Eye / face protection: Safety glasses according to EN 166; facial screen
b) Skin protections
- Hand protection: Chemical resistant gloves according to EN 374, parts 1, 2 and 3 and EU directive 89/89 / EEC.
The glove material must be waterproof and stable against the
product / substance / formulation.
Material: nitrile (nitrile rubber), hypoallergenic
Thickness: not less than 0.12 mm
- Other, body protection Choose the suitable protective medium according to activity and exposure, e.g. apron, boots, suitable clothing according to EN 13982 in case of dust.
c) Respiratory protection: If the risk assessment foresees the need for ventilators with assisted ventilation, use a dust filter type P1, P2 and P3 (EN 143). Use respirators and components tested and approved by the relevant standards bodies, such as NIOSH (USA) and CEN (EU). In the short and minimum exposures use the mask; wear the self-contained breathing apparatus in the most intense and lasting exposures
d) Thermal hazards: Not foreseen in standard use practices of the substance. Evaluate any personal protective equipment based on particular conditions of use of the same
Stability and reactivity
The substance is not considered reactive under normal conditions of use.
The substance is stable under normal temperature and pressure conditions and if stored in closed containers in a cool, ventilated place.
Avoid exposure to light, air, moisture and excessive heat.
For heating at high temperatures decomposes freeing fumes and toxic COx gases.
Disposal considerations
Disposal through wastewater is not recommended.
Refer to the community / national / local provisions on waste disposal.
Respect the current legislation on waste disposal and recovery (Legislative Decree 152/06 and subsequent amendments).
