Remarks:
density
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2018
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Justification for type of information:
Experimental result performed using standard methods of analysis
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 109 (Density of Liquids and Solids)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The density can be determined according to “Pycnometer (liquids and solids)” in OECD Guidelines for the Testing of chemicals 109 - “Density of Liquids and Solids”. The density of the sample can be calculated based on these values - the mass of the pycnometer filled with hexane, the mass of the pycnometer with the sample added in it and filled with hexane followed, and the mass of the sample added in the pycnometer.
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
pycnometer method
