Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes and promptly call a physician.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove product from skin with dry cloth or towel, and wash
exposed area with detergent.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water, provided person is conscious.
Call a physician immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn if involved in a fire, evolving noxious fumes (e.g. carbon and silicon
oxides). However, there is no experimental evidence to support the anticipated combustion products.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus must be worn.
Accidental release measures
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to the relevant national or international standards as mentioned in Section 2.3.10.
Shut off all ignition sources and contain the spill or leak.
In case of spillage do not allow the substance to enter sewage systems or water courses.
Scrape up the material with a rag and dispose of according to local regulations.
Dispose of waste material by incineration or landfill in accordance with local regulations.
Handling and storage
Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the substance.
When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn. Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate international or national standards as follows;
Chemical protective gloves to Standard EN374
Chemical resistant clothing to Standard EN368
Eye protection to Standard EN166
The substance is irritant so avoid contact with eyes and skin.
When necessary, appropriate respiratory protection should be used e.g. a vapour mask conforming to EN405 FFA1.
The standards mentioned above should be regarded as a minimu m.
Storage: Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame.
Do not lay the container on its side, and do not re-use container as will be very hazardous when emptied. Do not puncture or cut this container, and do not weld on or near the container.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The preparation is packaged in a 350 ml plastic cartridge.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation. Provide eyewash station.
Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment
Eye/face protection: Tightly sealed safety glasses according to EN 166.
Skin protection
- Hand protection: Chemical impervious gloves.
- Other: appropriate protective clothing.
Respiratory protection: Respiratory protection must be worn whenever the workplace exposure limit levels have been exceeded.
N.B. No exposure limit exist for the registered substance. There are exposure limits for hydrolysis product methanol, including the indicative exposure limit in the Community directive and member states' national values.
Stability and reactivity
Thermal breakdown of this product during fire or very high heat conditions may evolve hazardous decomposition products.
Chemical reaction with water: Reaction with water may cause the production of methanol.
Dust explosion: There is no possibility of a dust explosion hazard as the substance is a liquid.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
uncontaminated material for subsequent use.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with inert material (e.g. sand or soil) may be disposed of by landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local regulations.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases should be scrubbed, because noxious fumes (e.g. carbon and silicon oxides) could be formed.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not be discharged directly to the sewage system or the aqueous environment.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable as the neat substance will not be made available to the general public.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable as the neat substance will not be made available to the general public.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable as the neat substance will not be made available to the general public.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Do not allow the substance to come into contact with water due to the formation of methanol.
