First-aid measures
- General advice:
- Following inhalation:
Upon inhalation of aerosol/vapour/dust: Take the patient into the fresh air; if there is difficulty in breathing, medical advice is required.
- Following skin contact:
Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product. Immediate medical treatment necessary. Failure to treat burns can prevent wounds from healing.
- Following eye contact:
Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If easy to do, remove contact lenses. Call a doctor immediately.
- Following ingestion:
Rinse the mouth with plenty of water. DO NOT induce the patient to vomit, medical advice is required. If vomiting occurs, keep head low so that stomach content doesn't get into the lungs.
- Most important symptoms and effects: Symptoms may include stinging, tearing, redness, swelling, and blurred vision.
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing media:
Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions. CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
- Unsuitable extinguishing media:
no information
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire. Carbon oxides Phosphorus oxide (PxOy)
- Advice for fire fighter: Fire fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in positive pressure mode.
Accidental release measures
- Personal precautions:
Wear protective equipment.
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Keep unprotected persons away. Use personal protective equipment
- Environmental precautions:
Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
For small spills add absorbent (soil may be used in the absence of other suitable materials) scoop up material and place in a sealed, liquid-proof container for disposal.
For large spills dike spilled material or otherwise contain material to ensure runoff does not reach a waterway.
Place spilled material in an appropriate container for disposal.
Handling and storage
- Precautions for safe handling:
Intermediate to be used under strictly controlled conditions according to REACH-Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (Article 18)
Provide sufficient air flow/ air extraction in the workplace. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: No special requirements.
Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from foodstuffs.
Further information about storage conditions: Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles. Store container in a well-ventilated place. Storage period 12 months.
Specific end use(s)
Intermediate to be used under strictly controlled conditions according to REACH-Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (Article 18)

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters
Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: The product does not contain any relevant quantities of materials with critical values that have to be monitored at the workplace.
Additional information: The lists valid during the making were used as basis.
Exposure controls: Intermediate to be used under strictly controlled conditions according to REACH-Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (Article 18)
General protective and hygienic measures:
The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
Do not eat or drink while working.
Respiratory protection:
Strictly controlled conditions according to REACH-Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (Article 18) have to be met.
Where breathable aerosols/dust are formed, use suitable combination filter for gases/vapours of organic, inorganic, acid inorganic, alkaline compounds and toxic particles (eg. EN 14387).
Protection of hands:
Protective gloves: The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product.
Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product.
Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation
The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specification of EU directive 89/686/EC and the resultant standard EN374. The above given information is based on laboratory test in line with EN374.
The recommendation is only valid for the supplied product and the stated application. Special working conditions, like heat or mechanical strain, which deviate from the test conditions, can reduce the protective effect provided by the recommended glove.
Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Penetration time of glove material: The exact breaktrough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields
Body protection: Protective work clothing
