Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Following inhalation: Remove from exposure source.Take the person to a well aerated place and keep calm. Seek medical advice. In case of confinated area, keep it well ventilated. Following skin contact: Take off contaminated clothes and wash with soap and plenty of water all the contaminated parts of the body. In case of irritation, seek medical advice.
- Following eye contact: Immediately wash with copious amounts of water for 15 minutes at least. Seek medical advice.
- Following ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, lean patient forward or place on left side (head-down position, if possible) to maintain an open airway and prevent aspiration.
Fire-fighting measures
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: water and foam together.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions - Carbon oxides. The substance emits toxic vapors, acrid smoke and irritating fumes when heated. Finely dispersed particles form explosive mixtures in air.
- Advice for fire fighter: Fire-fighters should wear proper protective equipment and self-contained (positive pressure if available) breathing apparatus with full face piece.
Accidental release measures
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures: in case of spillage, wear complete protective clothing, personal protection equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus, if the case.
- Environmental precautions: Stop leaks if possible and safe. Contain spillage by any means available. Cover drains. Do not allow to enter into soil/subsoil. Do not empty into drains or the aquatic environment
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Do NOT wash away into sewer. Collect leaking and spilled substance in sealable containers as far as possible and dispose as a hazardous waste.
Handling and storage
Handle in a well ventilated area or wear adequate respiratory protection (anti-dust mask).
Keep in sealed containers away from humidity and sunlight. Store the product in a well ventilated warehouse. Keep out of the reach of children, animal and unauthorised people. Keep away from food, drink and feeding stuff.
Technical measures: Adopt measures to prevent dust formation.
All work processes must always be designed so that the following is excluded: Inhalation. Skin contact. Eye contact.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes wearing working clothes, gloves and protective glasses
Measures required to protect the environment Cover drains. Do not allow to enter into soil/subsoil. Do not empty into drains or the aquatic environment. Specific requirements or handling rules: The floor should be leak tight, jointless and not absorbent. Do not transport with/using compressed air
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep well closed and protected from light. Store separated from strong oxidants, strong bases. The substance should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place, but out of direct rays of the sun, away from areas of high fire hazard, should be periodically inspected.
Keep in locked storage or only make accessible to specialists or their authorized assistants. Keep container tightly closed. Keep/Store only in original container.

Exposure controls / personal protection
2. Organisational protection measures: Obtain special instructions before use. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Store the substance locked up.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Wear personal protecive equipment. Do not breathe vapours/dust. Use only in an area equipped with a safety shower.
Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Rinse mouth. If on skin: wash with plenty of water and soap, if available for 15 minutes at least. If inhaled: remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.
Call a POISON CENTRE or a doctor if the exposed persons feel unwell.
3. Hand protection: Handle with gloves.
4. Feet protection: wear protective footwear.
5. Body protection: wear protective clothing. Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the hazardous substance at the work place. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
6. Eye protection: wear safety glasses.
7. Respiratory protection: In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Use only outdoors or in a wellventilated area.
Stability and reactivity
Store separated from strong oxidants, strong bases.
Incompatible with alkalies; ammonia; antipyrine; phenol; iron and lead salts; iodine; and potassium permanganate.
Disposal considerations
Dispose of the substance in accordance to national and local law.
