First-aid measures
In contact with skin: consult with a doctor immediately. Take off the contaminated clothing. The contaminated skin areas wash with water and soap carefully.
In contact with eyes: consult with an ophthalmologist immediately. In case of the contamination of one eye, protect uncontaminated eye, remove contact lenses. The contaminated eyes rinse out with water carefully for 10-15 minutes. Avoid strong water stream – the risk of cornea damage. Put on a sterile dressing after rinsing out.
In case of intake: call a doctor immediately, show the package or label. Do not induce vomiting. Rinse the mouth with water carefully and then drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
After inhalation exposure: remove the affected person to fresh air, keep warm and calm. Consult with a doctor in case of occurrence of worrying complaints.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
In contact with skin: redness, skin dryness, itching, rash or other skin changes may occur in sensitive persons.
In contact with eyes: redness, lacrimation, stinging, pain.
After swallowing: a stomach-ache, nausea.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
The decision about the way of further rescue should be taken by a doctor after detailed assessment of the affected person condition. In case of severe poisonings apply the medicines that prevent the liver damage – monitor heart functions and circulatory system. Lack of antidote. Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: dispersed water stream, foam, carbon dioxide and extinguishing powder.
The extinguishing media adapt to materials stored in the vicinity.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: not known.
Special hazards arising from the substance:
Product dangerous for the environment. The harmful vapours and gases containing carbon oxides and hydrogen chloride may be produced during combustion. Avoid inhalation of combustion products, they may cause the risk to health.
Advice for firefighters
The general protective measures typical in case of fire. Do not stay in a fire endangered area without the appropriate clothing. The recommended personal protective measures for salvage services: full protective suit, self-contained breathing apparatus. Handle the post-fire-fighting waters according to information from ‘Accidental release measures’ section.
Accidental release measures
For non-emergency personnel: limit the outsider’s access to the accident area until cleaning up will be finished. Use personal protective equipment. Avoid eye and skin contamination. Ensure the appropriate ventilation. Avoid vapours formulation.
For emergency personel: make sure that removal of the accident and its effects is exclusively made by trained staff. Use protective clothing resistant to chemicals.
Environmental precautions:
Avoid raising vapurs or spray. In case of the release of larger amounts of substance, the steps should be taken in order to not allow to spread in the environment. Notify the appropriate salvage services. Warn others about danger. Use similar precautions also in case of post-fire-fighting waters presence.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
In case of large spillage, bund the liquid, pump it up into appropriate tightly closed and marked containers and give it for recovery or disposal according to the act of waste materials. Absorb the residues and small quantities of spilled substance with the sets of proper sorbents and if they are unavailable, use diatomite or sand. Collect the absorbing agents containing the substance into the appropriate tightly closed and marked container for waste materials and recover or dispose them according to the act of waste materials.
Reference to other sections:
Handling the product wastes – see section ‘Disposal consideration’.
The individual protection measures – see section ‘Exposure controls / personal protection’.
Handling and storage
Follow the appropriate principles of safety and hygiene. Avoid eye and skin contamination. Take off the contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas. Before break and after work is finished, wash hands with water and soap. Keep packages with the substance tightly closed. The
rooms should be equipped with efficient general and/or local ventilation.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Store in original, tightly closed packages, in dry and well ventilated warehouses, at the temperature not exceeding 40°C. Keep far away from foodstuffs, fodders, food containers, keep in places inaccessible for unauthorized persons. Avoid direct exposure to the sunlight, the sources of heat and fire.
Material suitable for packages: polyethylene (HDPE) drums or steel drums protected inside with lacquer resistant to substance influence.
Specific end use(s)
The substance is used for production as an additive for industrial production of hydro-insulating materials. During the processing, follow the directions given in this safety data sheet and in instructions obligatory during conducting the process.

Exposure controls / personal protection
The procedures for monitoring the concentrations of the hazardous ingredients in the air and the procedures for the air purity check at the workplace should be applied – if they are available and justified at that workplace – according to the appropriate reference methods – standards in force in applicable country.
Exposure controls:
Obey the principles of safety and hygiene. Use personal protective equipment. Do not eat, drink and smoke during work. Before break and after work finish wash hands with water and soap thoroughly.
Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment:
a) Eye or face protection: Use protective glasses (goggles).
b) Skin protection:
Hand protection: Use chemical resistant protective gloves (neoprene, PVC or rubber of minimum 0.4 millimeter thick), tested according to standard EN-374.
Body protection: Use protective clothing and protective shoes suitable for kind of activities that are made. The contaminated clothing wash systematically.
c) Respiratory protection: In case of the workplace good ventilation, the personal protection of respiratory tract is not required. In other cases, use half-masks or masks equipped with filters absorbing the vapours of organic compounds.
Environmental exposure controls:
In order to limit the influence on the environment and human health, the recommendations included in this safety data sheet should be obeyed. In case of performing the operations with product and during packaging process of product, use the efficient ventilation systems equipped with filters preventing from the emission of vapours to atmospheric air. Do not contaminate the waters with the product or its package. Protect against entering the product or packages into sewage system, water reservoirs, rivers, ground water and soil. It is forbidden to recover or dispose of product, packages and product package waste out of installation or devices appropriate for this purpose and which meet the requirements determined in regulations of the act on waste.
Stability and reactivity
Product reacts with strong bases, oxidising agents.
Chemical stability:
The product is stable under recommended usage and storage conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Not known.
Conditions to avoid:
Avoid direct sunlight exposure and high temperature.
Incompatible materials:
Bases, oxidizing agents.
Hazardous decomposition products:
Do not occur when use or store appropriately. May occur in case of fire (see section 'Fire-fighting measures').
Disposal considerations
The produced waste and packaging waste must be stored, transported and recovered or disposed of in accordance with the provisions of applicable regulations.
Unused product, as well as the contaminated packaging must be submitted to an authorized hazardous waste disposal company.
Classify waste using the appropriate names and codes in accordance with the applicable waste catalogue.
Disposal of waste into the soil and earth, drains, rivers, water bodies is prohibited.
