Details on results:
Preliminary test:
This test was performed at room temperature in vessels protected from light. The pH value of the water used was 7.13. The preliminary test indicated that the test substance was soluble in water with a solubility above 10 mg/L. On the basis of these results, the final solubility determination was undertaken using the flask method.
Flask method:
The test was performed at 20 ± 2 °C, in vessels protected from light. The solubility in water was found to be 254 ± 4 mg/L with a precision of 2 %. The water used had a pH value of 7.5. In the three replicate solutions prepared, the pH values were found to be, 9.00, 9.00 and 8.99 (replicates 1 to 3).

The water solubility of the test item was determined to be 254 mg/L at 20 °C and pH 9.
Executive summary:



The water solubility was determined according to Directive 92/69/EEC method A.6 and OECD Guideline No. 105, adopted on 27th July 1995 using the shake flask method with HPLC analysis. A preliminary test was undertaken to determine the approximate water solubility. Based on the preliminary result, aliquots of test material, were weighed into three separate flasks. After addition of Milli-Q water to the flasks, they were shaken at 30 °C and, after standing at 20 °C for a period of not less than 24 hours, the contents of the flasks were filtered and the concentrations were determined by HPLC. The water solubility of the test substance was determined to be 254 mg/L at 20 °C and pH = 9.
