Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Determination of Effects on Nitrogen Transformation of Soil Microflora

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 for soil microorganisms:
1 600 mg/kg soil dw
Long-term EC10 or NOEC for soil microorganisms:
1 600 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

FR-370 showed no inhibitory effects on soil microflora activity in the study of 'Nitrogen Transformation of Soil Microflora' . Therefore, it can be concluded that the addition of FR-370 ranging from 100 to 1600 mg/kg dry soil does not adversely affect treated soil samples as compared to the control samples. Correspondingly, it can be concluded that the empirically estimated EC50, on nitrate transformation is >1600 mg/kg dry soil, whereas the empirically estimated NOEC for the same parameter is considered to be ≥1600 mg/kg dry soil.
