Silicic acid (H4SiO4), tetraethyl ester, reaction products with bis(acetyloxy)dioctylstannane would be rapidly hydrolyzed to dioctyltin dichloride (DOTC), ethanol, acetic acid and silicium dioxide. However, under neutral conditions in the aquatic environment, it is highly expected that Silicic acid (H4SiO4), tetraethyl ester, reaction products with bis(acetyloxy)dioctylstannane would be directly hydrolyzed to dioctyltin hydroxide. Thus, the harmonized classification of DOTC (Chronic Aquatic 3, H412) is not relevant for the classification of Silicic acid (H4SiO4), tetraethyl ester, reaction products with bis(acetyloxy)dioctylstannane.
