First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures:
General advice: Move away from the danger area. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and store it in a safe place
If inhaled: Bring the victim to the open air. Have the victim blow his/her nose. Consult a doctor immediately.
In case of skin contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Consult a doctor immediately.
In case of eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, keeping the eyelids open, for at least 15 minutes. Consult a doctor immediately.
If swallowed : Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a doctor immediately.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
Symptoms: Burns, Irritations.
In all cases alert a physician immediately
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
Treatment : For a specific treatment, call the emergency telephone numbers indicated in the safety datasheet
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media: Compatible with all common extinguishing media.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Strong water jets.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
In case of fire, the product may emit toxic and/or irritating fumes.
Supposed thermal decomposition/oxidation:
Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide
Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
Advice for firefighters:
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Use self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Prohibit the disposal of water, used as an extinguishing medium, in the environment. Use extinguishing systems compatible with the local situation and the surrounding environment.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Personnel not belonging to the emergency team :
Move away immediately from the event location.
Use personal protective clothing. (see section: Exposure controls: Personal protection - Industrial scale)
Personnel belonging to the emergency team:
Remove people from the place of accidental release
Isolate the area and prohibit entry to personnel not belonging to the emergency team.
Ventilate confined spaces before entering.
Use personal protective clothing. (see section: Exposure controls: Personal protection - Industrial scale)
Use a self-contained breathing apparatus
Environmental precautions:
Do not let it enter into sewer.
Do not disperse the spilled product in the soil or in surface water
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:
General information:
Spray spilled water to prevent dust formation.
Collect the substance with antistatic pallets and pour into hermetically sealed PVC containers.
Send containers to disposal. Close and label thoroughly
Thoroughly clean contaminated objects and floors, in compliance with current legislation.
Collect the water used for washing with absorbent cloths for cleaning and send to the waste.
Cleaning the contaminated area: Wash the contaminated area with plenty of water.
Disposal of recovered materials: See disposal considerations
Further recommendations:
In dangerous conditions immediately evacuate the area and request the intervention of the emergency team
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Indications for safe use (industrial scale):
Work in a defined area with access restricted to only personnel. Avoid formation and deposit of powders.
A closed transfer system is strongly recommended.
Avoid the accumulation of electrostatic charges.
Necessary equipotential connection of the plants and equipment.
In the use of chemical products, observe the normal rules of prevention of work.
Indications for safe use (laboratory scale):
Handle in a chemical hood with filter.
It is recommended to work in a defined area with limited access.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Requirements for storage rooms and containers:
Contain the substance in labeled PVC containers.
Keep in a well-ventilated area away from heat
Indications for storage together with other products:
Do not store with strong oxidizers.
Do not store with acids.
Further information on storage conditions:
Store in a tightly closed container in PVC, protected from moisture and light.
Storage temperature:
Keep in a cold place (+2°C to +8°C / 36°F to 46°F)
Recommended packaging material:
PVC.
Sensitivity
Humidity: Hygroscopic.
Light: The product is sensitive to light.
Heat: The product is sensitive to heat.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protection :
General protection measures:
Intermediate to be used under strictly controlled conditions
Corrosive compound: avoid all contact with skin and eyes.
Do not breath the dust.
Personal protective equipment or collective protection devices must be chosen according to the workplace, concentration and amount of hazardous material handled.
Use of suction and ventilation systems in areas in production and laboratory analysis environments.
Clarify the chemical resistance of the protective means with the supplier of the protective means.
Verify exposure to the substance by performing environmental and personal sampling.
