Description of key information

Readily biodegradable: 81% in 28 days (ISO 7827)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Sodium prop-2-enesulphonate is classified as readily biodegradable. In a DOC removal test according to ISO 7827 the biodegradation of sodiumprop-2-enesulphonate was investigated [BASF AG, 1989]. After 28 days 81 % degradation was determined.
