In both experiments carried out at neutral pH and ph 2.5 no test substance peak could be observed in the chromatogram of the test substance solution. Under the same analytical conditions the retention time o f 2,4 -DDT (log POW = 6.5) was 24.5 minutes. It was assumed that the test substance elutes after the reference substance 2,4 -DDT.

In order to show that the test substance can be passed through the HPLC column, mobile phase 3 (methanol) was used. One large test substance peak at a retention time of 2.89 minutes and several small peaks were observed in the chromatogram of the test solution.

Conclusions:
In both experiments carried out at neutral pH and ph 2.5 no test substance peak could be observed in the chromatogram of the test substance solution. Under the same analytical conditions the retention time o f 2,4 -DDT (log POW = 6.5) was 24.5 minutes. It was assumed that the test substance elutes after the reference substance 2,4 -DDT. It is concluded that th log POW is > 6.5 at neutral pH as well as at ph 2.5.
Executive summary:

The log POW was determined for the substance according to OECD guideline 117. The HPLC method was used, 2,4 -DDT was used as the reference substance. In both experiments carried out at neutral pH and ph 2.5 no test substance peak could be observed in the chromatogram of the test substance solution.
