Description of key information
The particle size distribution of FRET 11-0230 has been determined using a procedure designed to be compatible with the European Commission Technical Guidance Document EUR 20268 Determination of Particle Size Distribution, Fibre Length and Diameter Distribution of Chemical Substances (2002). The results are summarized below: proportion of test item having an inhalable particle size <100um is 17.2% by using sieve method, proportion of test item having a thoracic particle size <10um is <=6.0% by using cascade impactor method, and proportion of test item having a thoracic particle size <5.5um is <=2.1% by using cascade impactor method.
