-Self-contained respiratory protective device.
Additional information :
-Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
-Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.
-CEFIC-ERI-Card No.: 6-03 , HIN 60
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
-Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.
-Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
-Keep away from ignition sources.
-Mount respiratory protective device.
Environmental precautions : Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
-Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust).
-Dispose contaminated material as waste according to local / regional / national / international regulations. Details have to be arranged with the authority concerned and / or the local waste management enterprise.
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each manufacturing site.
Handling:
Precautions for safe handling
-Ensure good interior ventilation, especially at floor level. (Fumes are heavier than air).
-Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.
-Prevent formation of aerosols.
Information about fire - and explosion protection: Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage:
Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles:
-Store only in the original receptacle.
-Provide solvent resistant, sealed floor.
Information about storage in one common storage facility:
-Do not store together with strong acids, alkalines and oxidation agents
-Store away from reducing agents.
Further information about storage conditions:
-Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.
-Store receptacle in a well ventilated area.
-Protect from exposure to the light.
Recommended storage temperature : At 15 °C to 25 °C
Specific end use(s) : No further relevant information available.
