Additional information

Titanium nitride is a solid yellow-brown inorganic substance which forms cubic crystals. It has a density of 5.21 g/cm³ at room temperature. The following mean volume diameters were determined for titanium nitride:
D90 = 3.37 μm ± 8 % (Urel), D50 = 1.80 μm ± 4 % (Urel), D10= 0.69 μm ± 14 % (Urel).

The water solubility (T/D test) is 23.8 µg Ti/L (loading rate: 100 mg/L, pH 6, 7 days of incubation).

The melting point of Titanium nitride is 2947 °C. Its self-ignition temperature is 359 °C.

Titanium nitride is considered to be not highly flammable and non-hazardous upon contact with water. Titanium nitride is not explosive and does not exhibit oxidising properties.
