Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The 96 hour LC0 value of the test substance was determined to be > 100 mg/L (analytically confirmed concentration). No mortality and no sublethal effects were observed in any of the test fish at any points in time. Therefore, no LC50 can be established.

Additional information

A study was performed to assess the acute toxicity of the test substance to Danio rerio (zebra fish) under static conditions. The study was conducted in accordance with EU method C.1, which is equivalent in most parts to OECD guideline 203. The study was performed in compliance with GLP.

Groups of ten fish of the recommended size were exposed to a limit test substance concentration of nominally 100 mg/L. The test substance was directly weighed to the test medium and no auxiliaries were used.

Observations were made on the number of dead fish and the incidence of sublethal effects after 24, 48, 72 and 96 h of exposure. The LC0 value at time intervals from 0 -96 h was 100 mg/L.The hardness of the dilution water used was 11.0 °dH (= 196.4 mg CaCO3/L).

The test result is expressed in terms of nominal concentration since the measured concentrations did not significantly (> 20 %) deviate from nominal at any point in time.

No mortality and no sublethal effects were observed in any of the test fish at any point in time. Therefore, under the employed test conditions the LC0 value at any time from 0-96 h was ≥ 100 mg/L. No LC50 can be established.
