Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

A total number of 1262 flies were tested on the test substance 2 -ethoxyethanol.

Abnormalities observed:

- wing notches (9 µL P< 0.001)

- significant reduction of large bristles (macrosetae) (13 µL P < 0.01; 17 µL P < 0.001)

- size reduction of supra-alar bristles

- bent (humeral) bristles (13 µL P < 0.05; 17 µL P < 0.01)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test substance 2-ethoxyethanol induced different developmental abnormalities like wing notches, size reduction of bristles and bending of bristles in Drosophila (adults and larvae).
