Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Amount of particles < 100 µm: 0.05% after 32 min. of sieving

Additional information

The particle size distribution of Lanthanum chloride was examined using an orbital shaker with a test sieve with 100 µm mesh size. 10.000 g of test item were shaken for 32 minutes over a tared foil-coated paper. There were no visible particles of the test item on the paper. The weight of the invisible fraction was 5 mg, corresponding to a percentage of 0.05%. So the amount of particles smaller than 100 µm was < 0.1% and therefore no further testing is necessary.

A light microscopic examination confirmed this observation, all particles were greater than 100 µm.
