Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

log Pow > 5.7

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The partition coefficient log Pow of the registered substance was determined according to test procedure VTA34N00004.01, which complies with EU test method L383 A/63-73 (EU A.8).

Results:

log Pow > 5.7

The partition coefficient can't be stated more precisely as the substance starts to elude after Triphenylamine (Log Pow 5.7) and continues to elute. The registered substance is a UVCB which consists primarily of long chain fatty alcohols (C18 and greater), long chain fatty acid ester, long chain fatty alcohol ethers etc

As not all substances could be identified during analytical determination calculation of a weighted mean is not possible.

The substances elute for such a long time that log Pow values of the last substances of 10 and higher are expected to be correct.

So the log Pow can only be given as a value greater than 5.7.
