- Patch test:
The undiluted test material, covered with a plaster, was applied onto the upper arm of 5 persons for an exposure period of 2 hours.
Burckhard test:
The undiluted test material was applied onto the forearm of 5 persons (the test material was gently rubbed into the skin in 30 sec intervals for a total of 30 min using a glass rod).
Results and discussion

- Patch test:
During the exposure period 3/5 persons reported to feel a slight burning at the treated skin site, which was fully reversible 30 min after removing the plaster. After removal of the plaster the skin was examined for irritation. No skin reactions were observed.
Burckhard test:
During the application period until the end of the experiment, no skin reactions were seen.

- Conclusions:
- Undiluted decyl oleate did not show a acute skin irritation potential after acute exposure up to 2 h in 10 test persons.
