Sampling and analysis
- Details on sampling:
- - Sampling intervals/frequency for test organisms:On days 5, 7, 14, 21 and 28.
- Sampling intervals/frequency for test medium samples: On days 0, 5, 7, 14, 21 and 28.
- Sample storage conditions before analysis: no data
- Details on sampling and analysis of test organisms and test media samples (e.g. sample preparation, analytical methods):
From a acetonitrile (HPLC reagent grade) solution containing 1000mg/L the test substance, 0.2 mL was taken and added to a pair of control fish, which was then analyzed to evaluate recovery. Added to a fishweight of 10 g, the test substance would exist at 20 pg/g, which is 100 times of the high concentration level (0.2 mg/L). The four measurements of recovery gave a mean value of 91.6%, a standard deviation of 0.7% and a range of 1.3%, which is satisfactory for quantitative analysis. The average recovery was used to correct the measured values.
