Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The 56d-NOEC (reproduction, mortality and body weight) is ≥ 993.2 mg/kg dry weight in a OECD guideline 222 test with Eisenia fetida under GLP (reliability 1) in a read-across study from N-[(9Z)-octadec-9-en-1-yl]propane-1,3-diaminium di[(9Z)-octadec-9-enoate] (CAS no. 34140-91-5).

Additional information

The terrestrial toxicity is read across from a study with N-[(9Z)-octadec-9-en-1-yl]propane-1,3-diaminium di[(9Z)-octadec-9-enoate] (CAS no. 34140-91-5). Effects of N-[(9Z)-octadec-9-en-1-yl]propane-1,3-diaminium di[(9Z)-octadec-9-enoate] on mortality, biomass and the reproductive potential of the earthworm species Eisenia fetida (Savigny) were determined according to the Guidelines DIN ISO 11268-2 (1998), OECD 222 (2004) and BBA (1994). The study was conducted under static conditions over 8 weeks with five different application rates of 62.5 – 125 - 250 - 500 - 1000 mg test item/kg soil dry weight, which were mixed into natural soil. Overall, the NOEC ofN-[(9Z)-octadec-9-en-1-yl]propane-1,3-diaminium di[(9Z)-octadec-9-enoate] concerning mortality, biomass and reproduction of earthworms was determined to be ≥ 993.2 mg/kg soil dry weight (based on active ingredient).
