Description of key information

Non oxidising

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

As for all other proteins this parameter is not relevant for enzymes, except for oxidases that may catalyze oxidation reactions, given that the proper substrate and physic-chemical conditions are present.

Since Lysozyme is not an oxidase, this property does not apply.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Lysozyme doesn't meet the criteria to be considered as oxidising.

According to CLP regulation (EC1272/2008) Lysozyme is classified as NON oxidising.
