Description of key information

IEC 60079-20-1; "Method of Test for Auto-Ignition Temperature": Study Jackson: result 475 +/- 25°C

IEC 79 -4; "Auto-Ignition Temperature": Study Bailey: 460.0°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
475 °C

Additional information

Both guideline studies were conducted in GLP-certified test facilities are considered to be relevant, reliable and adequate.

The lower auto flammability: 460°C (study report from Bailey) is caused by residual xylene in the test sample tested, and does not reflect the intrinsic properties of the substance.
