Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General informations: First aider: Pay attention to self-protection!
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
Skin contact: Wash off with plenty of water and soap for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. If irritation occurs or persists, get medical attention. Wash clothing and shoes before reuse.
In case of eye contact: After contact with the eyes, rinse with water with the eyelids open for a sufficient length of time, then consult an ophthalmologist immediately.
In case of ingestion: Call a physician immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, foam.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Strong water jet.
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases: In case of fire may be liberated: Nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides.
Additional information: Do not inhale explosion and combustion gases. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Dust can combine with air to form an explosive mixture.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Avoid generation of dust. Wear personal protection equipment. Wear breathing apparatus if exposed to vapours/dusts/aerosols.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter drains/surface water/ground-water.
Methods for cleaning up: Take up mechanically, placing in appropriate containers for disposal. Rinse down residue with plenty of water.
Handling and storage
Handling: All work processes must always be designed so that the following is excluded: Inhalation, Skin contact, Eye contact.
Information about protection against explosions and fires: Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.
The substance will be registered under Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH) as a transported isolated intermediate, so that the conditions under Article 18(4) must be observed: use under strictly controlled conditions, use in a closed system.
STORAGE: Keep tightly closed. Keep away from heat and open flame. Store in a cool dry place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protective equipment: Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.
Respiratory protection: Is required whenever air contamination (dust, mist, or vapors) is generated by the process. A NIOSH-approved high efficiency toxic dust/mist/fume respirator is recommended.
Eye protection: required
Hand protection: In full and splash contact:
Glove material: PVC, Butyl-/Nitrile rubber, Layer thickness: 0.11 mm
The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of EC directive 89/686/EEC and the resultant standard EN374.
This recommendation applies only to the product stated in the safe data sheet and supplied by us as well as to the purpose specified by us. When dissolving in or mixing with other substances and under conditions deviating from those stated in EN374 please contact the supplier of CE-approved gloves.
Industrial hygiene: Immediately change contaminated clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. General room ventilation is adequate unless the process generates dust or fumes. Work clothing should be removed in a change room on site and laundered professionally. Employees should shower and change into street clothes before leaving the facility. Prevent the accumulation of dust in the work area by thorough periodic cleaning of the area.
Environmental exposure controls and protective equipment:
Water: Do not release into water. If in waste water, waste water treatment is required.
Air: For industrial and professional uses air-filters may be required.
Soil: Do not release into the soil.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to be avoided: Light and elevated temperature
Substances to be avoided: Oxidizing agents
Hazardous decomposition products: In case of fire see Fire fightings measures.
Disposal considerations
Product: Waste requires special monitoring.
Packaging: Non-contaminated packages may be recycled. Handle contaminated packaging in the same way as the substance itself.
