Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Vapour pressure: 1800 Pa (dichlorotetramethyldisilane)
Vapour pressure: 593 Pa (trichlorotrimethyldisilane)
Vapour pressure: 421 Pa (tetrachlorodimethyldisilane)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No measured data is available for the substance. However, measured data is available for two of the three constituents of the substance. Vapour pressure values of 593 and 421.3 Pa are available for 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trimethyl-Disilane and 1,1,2,2-tetrachloro-1,2-dimethyl-Disilane respectively, for sources to which reliability could not be assigned. No measured values were available for 1,2-dichloro-1,1,2,2-tetramethyl-Disilane, so a validated QSAR model was used to determine a value of 1800 Pa.
