Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Test concentrations of nominal 10, 18, 32, 58 and 100 mg/l CA 2343 A were selected based on the results of a pre-test run prior to test initiation at concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 100 mg/l.
Measured contents of CA 2343A showed that the water concentrations were always very close to the nominal values both at test initiation and at the end of the exposure. During the test the actual concentrations in the analysed test media were in the range of 99 - 102 % of the nominal values and thus sufficiently stable and the reported results were related to the nominal values of the test substance concentrations. Thus, continuous exposure of daphnids to the desired test concentrations was maintained throughout the test.
After 48 h of exposure no immobilization and abnormal behaviour of the Daphnia was observed in the control and at any concentration tested. Because the test substance was found to be stable under the test conditions, the estimation of the following toxicity values were based on nominal test concentrations:
NOEC(48h): 100 mg/l
EC50(48 h): > 100 mg/l
