Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate promptly with water and seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water and seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
extinguishants.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur together with some soot and hydrogen
chloride.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
precautions at 2.3.1) for disposal at an approved landfill
site in accordance with local or national legislation.
Handling and storage
ingestion, skin and eye contact and inhalation of dust.
Handle in a well ventilated area and if exposure to dust
cannot be avoided, a respirator (eg BS6016) should be used.
Storage: Store in mild steel full-opening drums with polthene liners

Stability and reactivity
dyestuffs in powder/granular form, the substance could form
flammable dust clouds in air.
Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance can be disposed of at an approval landfill
site. (A650)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be rendered harmless by burning under
carefully controlled conditions, ideally by using an
industrial unit specifically designed for chemical
incineration, at a temperature above 950 deg C with exhaust
gas scrubbing.
Waste gases may contain nitrogen and sulphur oxides and
hydrogen chloride gas. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: It is unlikely that the substance will be appreciably
degraded in aerobic processesof short duration. Itis also
unlikely that the substance will affect aerobic sewage
treatment, nitration and sewage digestion process.
Provided the substance is diluted below 100 mg/l no acute
effect on aquatic life is likely to occur.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
