The substance Carbohydrates and Sugars, hexitols, anhydro, was tested for its toxicity to Fish(Brachydanio rerio), Daphnids(Daphnia magna)and Algae (Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata )according to the OECD methods 203, 202 and 201 respectively.
These ecotoxicity studies are considered of validity 1, because they are well documented, all the validity criteria are fulfilled and they have been performed in compliance with GLP.
The following results were obtained:
LC50 onBrachydanio rerioafter 96 hours of exposure in semi-static conditions is higher than 100 mg/L. The NOEC is equal to 100 mg/L.
EC50 onDaphnia magnaafter 48 h of exposure in semi-static conditions is higher than 100 mg/L. The NOEC is equal to 100 mg/L.
EC50 on algae after 72hours of exposure in static conditions is 231 mg/l based on growth rate. The NOEC is 50 mg/L.
