First-aid measures

Consult a physician; show a safety data sheet to the doctor if available; if breathed in, move person into fresh air; if not breathing, give artificial respiration; in case of skin contact wash off with soap and plenty of water; in case of eye contact rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; if swollowed, rinse mouth with water; never give anythingby mouth to an unconscious person.

Fire-fighting measures

Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide as suitable extinguishing media; wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.

Accidental release measures

Use personal protective equipment; avoid dust formation; avoid breathing dust; ensure adequate ventilation; do not let product enter drains; pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust; keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Avoid contact with skin and eyes; avoid formation of dust an aerosols; provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust ist formed; normal measures for preventive fire protection; store in cool place; keep containers tightly closedin a dry and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Where risk assessment shows air-purifying respirators are appropriate use dust mask type N95 (US) or type P1 (EN 143) respirator; use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU); handle with golves -  selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it; use safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN 166 as eye protection; choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place; handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice; wash hand before breaks and at the end of the workday.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under recommended storage conditions; avoid oxidising agents, amines and strong bases; under fire conditions hazardous decomposition products are formed (carbon dioxides).

Disposal considerations

Obsereve all federal, state and local environmental regulations; contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose this material; dissolve or mix with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator with an afterburner and scrubber.
