Description of key information

Lanthanum metal is a solid at room temperature. It is supplied in bulk form (silver solid), in pellet form (grey pellets), and in powdered form (silver powder).

Additional information

As part of three experiments conducted under GLP conditions and in accordance with EU and OECD guidelines to determine the water solubility and the flammability of the test material, the state of the substance was assessed by visual inspection. All three studies were assigned a reliability score of 2 in accordance with the criteria detailed by Klimisch (1997), and provided as a weight of evidence to address this endpoint.

The test material was determined to be a silver solid (in bulk form), grey pellets (pellet form) or a silver powder (powder form).
