Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a DSC measurement and a subsequent pour point determination the melting point of the test substance was determined. In the DSC experiment, no melting point was observed. In a pour point experiment it was determined that the melting point is < -20°C. Thus, no key value for the chemical safety assessment will be given.

Additional information

DSC Measurement: No melting point is observed.

This suggests that the sample solidifies in a glassy state. Therefore a pour point test was carried out.

Pour Point Method

Two samples were placed in screw-capped tubes and thermostated for one hour.

Both samples were liquid at -20 °C.

Conclusions

The melting point is less than -20 °C:
