Description of key information

No ignition was observed below the melting point of the test material, EU Method A.16, Angly 2000

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The relative self ignition of the test material was determined in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.16. No ignition was detected. An endothermic peak was observed at approximately 165 °C which is attributed to the melting of the substance.

The study was performed in line with GLP and an accepted standardised guideline with a high standard of reporting. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the principles of assessing data quality outlined in Klimisch (1997), and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data are considered to be complete and the conclusion of the study, no ignition observed below the melting point of the test material, was carried forward for risk assessment.
