Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Additional information:

The approach of using read-across for this endpoint has been adopted in the EU Risk Assessment Report for tris(2 -chloroethyl) phosphate. Two studies (one local lymph node assay and one guinea pig maximisation study) with relevant read-across substances indicate that the tested compounds are not sensitisers to skin. This leads to the conclusion that tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate should not be classified as a sensitiser to skin.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
Two studies are reported for substances that the EU Risk Assessment Report for tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate references for read-across for skin sensitisation. Both studies (one local lymph node assay and one guinea pig maximisation study) indicate that the tested compounds are not sensitisers to skin. This leads to the conclusion that tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate should not be classified as a sensitiser to skin.
